The “Theatre Movement” Performance that will take place is a collaborative manifestation within the framework of supporting young artists in the European program Theatre in Palm, as well as the multi-practical use of tools in artistic research.

It is a structured performance consisting of two parts, engaging in dialogue with each other, each utilizing the concept of polarity in a different way—the central theme of the performance. Male and female. Natural world and digital simulation. Nature and information. The composition of contradictions on two axes directly relevant to today’s reality: gender and, by extension, patriarchy on one side, and the dichotomous code and digitization of our senses on the other.

The post-Covid era is marked by a sharp rise in violence, with gender-based violence skyrocketing, and the adherence to technology blurs the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds, becoming increasingly indistinct. Once, the digital world strove to emulate the analog. It has been many years now that the exact opposite is happening, as Lev Manovich predicted in the late ’90s. The Covid-19 pandemic came to seal the deal. We are in a transitional stage, and the foundations of the old world are collapsing. It is in moments like these that the discussion of gender, senses, and media takes on multidimensional socio-political and philosophical dimensions, and art is called upon to respond to the challenges.
