One of the most dynamic and youth-led initiatives featured in the Greek National Report of the Proud Ambassadors project is Colour Youth – Athens LGBTQ Youth Community.

Since 2011, Colour Youth’s young team supports LGBTQIA+ individuals facing discrimination, social stigma, and bullying. Based in Athens, their work influences local communities as well as national policies on equality and human rights.

Colour Youth is a good practice because:

It is youth-driven, participatory, and tailored to real needs
It collaborates with schools & organizations
It positively influences policy discussions affecting the LGBTQIA+ community in Greece

Through the Proud Ambassadors project, at CUBE we aim, among other goals, to map good practices that empower LGBTQIA+ youth across Europe.
